I love being a pediatric dentist! While teaching high school for four years prior to dental school, I realized that I wanted a career with children. In dental school, I discovered pediatric dentistry and it is a perfect combination for me. Pediatric dentistry includes oral care for infants and children as well as education for the patients and their parents. My goal is to provide a warm, fun and effective dental home for our families. I am well trained to treat infants and children as well as patients with growth and developmental problems, trauma and minor orthodontic interventions. With a patient and gentle approach, I work to provide quality care and alleviate any apprehension and fears. I want the child to enjoy coming to the dentist!
I am so thankful for our wonderful patients and families and honored for the trust you give our office in treating and maintaining oral health. I am so happy to be a part of this special community and I love my job! I look forward to seeing you in our office and around Chico.
I met my husband, Eric Barnes, an oral surgeon in Chico, during dental school and we moved to Chico in 2007. We have three young children: Elia, Joshua and Weston. As a family, we enjoy the outdoors and spending time together. My husband and I are both white water raft guides and we still love going on rivers. We camp, hike, and bike and also enjoy swimming and cooking as a family.
